Digital signatures- An Important Aspect of Security today

A digital signature in simple words refers to a public or private key coding system. PGP-Pretty good privacy is the most common form of this system, which is somehow a hilarious understatement because it is the base of military security and integrated in export rules and policies as a security secret of U.S. national. It is somewhat different from Electronic Signature which refers to any indication of individuality and conformity.

Many business transactions are carried out electronically. Therefore, digital signatures are used more and more to lawfully combine trustworthy parties to the transactions. A digital signature confirms that the subject matter was not customized after it was applied to the text. Digital signatures help to lessen the risk which is associated with electronic transactions of business. Digital signature work in a way, that there are two keys for each person, one is public that a person publishes online and pastes on the website and adds to a key server which is a kind of “public address book”. Another one is private which is kept secret.

Electronic seal is run with electronic locks and controls. Further, to make it safe in nature, it comes with a radio frequency detection device. With its own remarkable uses, it can meet one’s special needs. With electronic seals more features are offered on lower costs as compared to old mechanical seals. The newer electronic seals technology has improved features in terms of higher security.

If there are no digital signature ,the electronic progression is disturbed every time, in case a signature approval is required and a lot of valuable time of organizations is wasted  along with the wastage of  resources on paper-based processes that include printing, scanning,  physical routing, manual signing and archiving documents.

It is with the digital signature SharePoint that organizations all over the world have been able to deal with the challenges of mechanizing their respective business processes. With SharePoint these organizations have attained extra streamlined processes, improved collaboration, reduced organizational expenditure and efficiency. If SharePoint is applied without a component of digital signature then a situation comes that constrains increased organizational expenditure and business comes to an end, consequently reducing the profits of investment that are in automation.

Digital signatures certainly make this task an easy, safe and quick job and its practice is catching up in many government industries like banks and the telecom industry. The concept is quite inevitable and real. It makes any sort of transaction a lawfully binding. After digitally signing an agreement or the contract, one can not disagree later. It develops credibility and most importantly there is enough proof to resolve any type of dispute in future. It saves an e-business from fraud.
