What is the lifetime of Bausch and Lomb Optima toric Contact lens?
I have astigmatism and opting for toric contact lenses. However I can’t afford those lenses which have a lifetime of two weeks or a month. I want decent quality contact lenses that will last me for a year. Bausch and Lomb has Optima toric Contact lens brand. Does anybody know the lifetime of the lens i.e., when I have to change the lens?
The B&L Optima are a conventional lens, which means they are good for up to a year…or until it tears, which is usually around the 6 to 8 month mark.
Your reasoning isn’t right anyway. It is more expensive to go with 1 pair of lenses like that than a years worth of monthly disposables.
The Optima are at least $150.00 each = $300.00
The Frequency 55 Torics for instance are $70.00 per box, X4 , = 1 year= $280.00
Plus, with disposables, you don’t need enzyme tablets which are about $20.00 every 2 months.
So, disposables come out cheaper to buy and are easier and cheaper to care for also , as well as being a lot healthier to wear.
