Binocular Waterproof

what is a good pair of cheap hunting binoculars?
I know Busnell is a good brand, but where is a good place to look for a good cheap pair that will do the trick? I do not wear glasses and prefer ones that are rugged, fog and waterproof and cheap meaning like no more then $50? We are deer hunting where there is a lot of trees and hills and such. I really would like one with the harness type so that if I have to run then its not bouncing all around and in my way. Any advise is appreicated, its my first time going.
I would strongly suggest a pair of binoculars with a 8×42 or 10×42 range. The first number indicates the magnification power of the binoculars (8 or 10 magnification is what I would suggest for you) while the second number (42) indicates the diameter of the objective lense – the larger lens located closest to the object you’re viewing – in millimeters. Such binoculars represent a nice balance of many factors. First, they are small and lightweight enough such that they can easily be carried around the neck or on a torso harness and don’t present too much of a strain while holding up to your face for long periods of time. Generally, 8X or 10X magnification is enough to see a good amount of detail while the 42 objective lens provides a large field of view that makes it easy to focus in on an object while letting in a lot of light. If you want more than 10X magnification, I would recommend getting a spotting scope instead of larger pair of binoculars. Large binoculars are cumbersome to carry and quite exhausting to hold up for long periods of time. Spotting scopes however rest on a tripod and thus require essentially no energy to operate, simply fix them on an object, sit down, and enjoy. There are some great, very high powered spotting scopes available at http://www.yourbirdoasis.com/bird-watchi…
As others have said, its hard to find a pair of binoculars that are both good and cheap. Optics in general are very expensive as their is a tremendous amount of very fine machine work that goes into grinding lenses and constructing a good pair of binoculars. A quality pair of binoculars can last decades if treated properly, so I suggest paying at least $100-200 if you want a top performing pair. Good luck!
