Assassins creed 2 – Preview

Quote: Eurogamer has confirmed with Ubisoft that the November 17th release date for “Assassin’s Creed 2? is North American-only. In Europe the title will launch on November 20th. The UK will also get an exclusive “Black Edition” of the game, which will ring gamers 70 quid. The black holographic box will feature a 64-page leather and parchment development book, an Enzio figurine, three in-game bonus quests, soundtrack by Jesper Kyd and developer interviews. The “Black Edition” box information is via “Play”, which so far appears to be the only site offering this edition of the game.

Lets kick off this post with the new Assassins creed 2 trailer. As you can see in the trailer itself (down here) altair Ezio, his full name is Ezio Auditore de Firenze has some new cool gadgets and moves like, swimming, flying, throwing smoke bombs and even shooting. I don’t want to get in to all the details yet, but there are some things I do want to talk about.

The game takes place in Italy, during the Renaissance, which brings some cool stuff with it. The environment feels really good. The colors of the game are warm and intense which I personally like (I kinda hate those dark and gray games). Also you are now able to disarm your opponents and use their weapons against them. But that’s not all, you have a fancy new glider, probably designed by Leonardo Da Vinci himself

Now the gun is also a great new tool, unfortunately there isn’t much information about it. The only thing we know is that it is located underneath your left hand. Like you saw in the trailer it is very accurate so I think this is going to replace the throwing knife. There are going to be 36 new weapons in the game and allot of new assassination moves. I’m really looking forward to the new killing moves, like the one on the bench for example. Here is a screenshot of the gun:

The next video shows allot of gameplay features and is definitely worth watching. (make sure you watch this video full screen)
