Can you zero a scope at 100 yards using this system?

I just bought the SSI Laser Boresighter system. I opened the box and it had instructions on how to zero a scope on a rifle at 100 yards. It says to zero in your crosshairs along with the laser beam at 25 feet on a target. It says that it should be right on the money at 100 yards during an actual live fire exercise. What are your thoughts on this Bore Sighting product?

There’s not a civilian market bore-sighter on the planet that can value at 100 yards a possible variation of bullet weights from 17gr to 600gr, and velocities from 1,100-4,100 fps, and every conceivable variation and combo therein.

The rule of thumb is simple. Bore-sight, then test fire at 25-50 yards. Follow up with a fine tuning at 100 yards.
