burris zee rings?

i cant get these rings to fit my weaver base, theyre loose even when i tighten the screw down. theyre non adjustable like most styles with the screw clamp on the side, ive never used any like this before. whats the trick to installing these?
its a weaver style base i ordered from marlin to fit my marlin rifle.
are the weaver brand bases wider than other weaver style bases? or maybe burris sells a special base that only their rings are compatible with?

I’m not especially fond of these, as the one-piece design requires a very close fit to work, and even then they won’t clamp as well as the rings that do have an extra piece to grip the rail. You may have to get them tighter. Really, really tight. They still might move a little bit with a good bump or under recoil, though. I’d suggest you exchange them for a different set of rings that have an adjustable base, in order to grip your rail more firmly.
