Many people believe that getting your carpet cleaned too often will remove the stain resistor that was applied to the carpet when your purchased it. The truth is that foot traffic is the biggest cause of this coating wearing off. If you are concered then you should have a carpet care professional reapply the stain resistor every third time your carpet gets cleaned.

It may be tempting to buy a cheaper carpet cleaner from a grocery or hardware store. Do not fall into this trap. A store bought carpet cleaner applied the wrong way can easily leave your carpet in worse shape than when you started.
