Combo Benelli

good shotgun for home defense mossburg 500, remington 870 or beneili super nova?

i have been looking at getting a shotgun for home defense. I do not hunt so i dont see myself getting the combo kits. I heard that the tacticle ones even with shorter barrells you can still be pretty accurate with skeet shooting. So i was wondering what should i spend this on? remington 870 tacticle 7 shoot? moosburg 500? 500 just in case? or benelli supernova (dont think i spelled that right) i heard pardner brand is not that great. Really leaning towards the 870. Just looking for other inputs. I was reading the reviews on the 500′s and some people stated they had problems with the barrell rusting but i thought mossburg was supposed to make great shotguns so i was thinking that was the owner not taking care of the gun. Looking to spend $600 at the most.

Only consider a Mossberg 500 shotgun….. The Remington 870 is nice for hunting but not for defense….

Benelli???…. Over priced… You will pay double to triple the price of the Mossberg and it is not one bit more reliable… Waste of cash…..

Pardner pump?… Avoid — Those have NO long standing reputation for being a decent gun…..

Also – Avoid all of the tactical nonsense being pushed by the gun manufacturers…. What you want is basic, 100% reliable, no nonsense shotgun…. I own many Remington, Mossberg, Ruger firearms as well as many AR15 and AK47 type firearms…. and you know what?… ONLY a Mossberg 500 12 guage pump is what hangs under a bathrobe on the back of my bedroom door…….

Pay Absolutely no mind to those that claim the Mossberg is inferior because of an aluminum receiver… I have run thousands of rounds thru mine and have had no problems… Barrel rust?… Just keep it oiled and maintained… 2 of my Mossbergs are 25 years old and have no rust on them….
