What is the best make-up to cover a black eye?
My mom fell and got a black eye yesterday. The side of her face is also bruised. We need to cover it up for my wedding on Saturday! Please help!
There are 2 types of concealer i would recommend. The first is a green concealer, it is literally green. The second is a concealer with pink undertones. Depending on the severity of the bruising, the green concealer helps counteract purple bruising, whilst the pink undertone concealer helps counteract yellows, greens, and black. It would be very hard to cover brusing unless you are a professional, so i suggest that if the brusing has not subsided by the day before your wedding you will most likely need to make an appointment to have her makeup professionaly done, it is an excellent investment for such a special day =] She will feel much more comftorble knowing it is properly covered then worrying about it the whole night.
If you are going to do it on your own, make sure for the next few days she is applying brusing creams and ice to stop swelling.
You need to buy a good quality face powder and primer, the primer is applied just the same as a moisturiser, and will stop the makeup from going shiny and keeps it on for longer. The face powder also needs to be good quality as it will help the makeup stay on for longer and can help cover up the brusing.
I recommend (if your in australia) Napolean Perdis Primer and face Powder. They are excellent products which i swear by.
