Decapping Die

Reloading and trying to remove primers?

I bought a set of dies for my .45 ACP. There is a sizer die with a decapping pin in it. Isn’t that supposed to pop out the old primer? Because my reloading book describes a universal decapping die. I don’t need that do I? Thanks.

Use the directions that came with the dies. Every sizer die has a decapper. No need for a universal decapper, because a separate process would have to be used. One stroke of the die and you are resized and decapped.
