Can a BSA 3-12×44 A.O. Air Rifle Scope be mounted on a .22LR Rifle?
Can the BSA 3-12×44 Adjustable Objective Air Rifle Scope be installed on a Marlin 795 .22LR? I have heard that Air Rifle Scopes are specifically fitted for the ‘double recoil’ of air rifles. It uses the same mounts (1″ Diameter) to be mounted on dovetail rings. Would it be a major difference if i installed it on a marlin 795?

Absolutely, and no the recoil from a .22 lr is not going to break it. You could mount that scope on many centerfire rifles with no problem.
