Car Speaker Wirings?

How do you crimp your factory speaker wiring to fit aftermarket speakers? I was just wondering if this is easier and more cost effective than buying a harness adapter. But would I loose sound quality with crimping?

They have a spade type connector you can buy usually in packs of 10 or so that match up perfectly to after market “tabs” smaller one for neg side and a bit larger for teh pos. side. this helps to avoid polarity or cancelation issues, you cut the factory harness off and strip the wires and crimp or “smash” the spade connector onto the bare wire, then its best to solder the connection as well.
or….
you can simply cut the existing harness off, then “twist” the wire around the terminal and then solder it.

But my honest opinion is to go with the adaptor harness there only a few dollars, and it is alot less work, but it does cost a bit more.

No sound quality will be lost in any situation as lond as the connections are made properly.
