For my 18th birthday I’m inviting a bunch of my friends to come play spotlight/flashlight tag in one of the local high schools. Its pretty well deserted at night (save for the occasional stoner) and there are heaps of buildings and outdoor passageways that can be used to hide behind etc.
There will probably be about 20 people, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on the best rules to use. I want to set it up so people can’t win by just finding a really good hiding spot and riding out the whole game.
Do you think giving a flashlight to everyone would work? So that although they have to stay as hidden as they can, they still have to move around so they can spot other people?
Any suggestions or cool ideas would be great. Thanks everyone!

Rules:
Rule 1) Everyone gets a flashlight.
Rule 2) You can only stay hiding in 1 spot for 3 minutes.
Rule 3) If you are tagged, meet in a certain area.
Rule 4) If the game lasts to long with only 2 or 3 people left, the game ends and whoever is left, wins. (Unless you like really long games.)
Suggestions:
If the school is as big as you say it is and it has plenty of space inside and out, have all inside games and all outside games. Also try teamwork games. Maybe 10v10 or a multi team game like 5v5v5v5.
Also try games like 19v1 and have it so the 1 has to be tagged say 7 times to get out and whoever tags him is also out.
