Front Sight
The front sight is loose on my Mauser K98?
The front sight is slightly loose on the end of the barrel of my K98. It’s not the sight blade, but the band that fits around the barrel. I’m not so much concerned about shooting accuracy if I were to fix it myself because it is really more of a display rifle, but I’m willing to go to a gunsmith to fix it if it doesn’t cost too much. Does anybody know how to fix it, or roughly how much it would cost for a gunsmith? I doubt it could be a very expensive fix.
Gunsmith for professional job since this is a wall hanger. It depends whats broke or cracked. It may need sweating or it might be cracked. A easy fix maybe 20.00 and to replace the sight maybe 50.00 with parts. I would let a gunsmith do it. Its sweated on.
