Grip Sight

Can any one tell me what year my Smith & Wesson model. 66-2 is by the serial number and value?

Its a model. 66-2 2 or 2 and a half inch barrel. The serial number is AVW7024. It is a beautiful fire arm. It is stainless, it has the original wood grips, target sights. It is in great condition. I would say it is at least 96 to 98 present. I would like to know around what year it was made and the value. Thank you for your answers.

Your gun is a “Combat masterpiece” Made in the mid 1980″s They retail for about $450 -$500 in very good condition. I could find no AVW prefix. However all A guns were made in the 80′s.
