The automatic primer tube with the plastic pick-up tip will not pick up small pistol primers(CCI)
I am using the smallest of the two pickers but it seems that it is too big.

First off you must have the small pick-up tube.

Look at the end of the tube and see if the little plastic tab is bent. Sometimes it will bend inward and will not slip over the primer.
