any suggestions on brands of 44 magnum ammo?

I recently bought a barrel to convert my desert eagle from a 50 ae to a 44 magnum. I bought some Remington 180 grain JSP bullets from wal-mart that worked great and cycled the gun properly but as you shoot them it feels like bits of sand hitting you in the face. from what im told that is filler, a way for the company to cheep out on their gun powder. next i bought a box of HSM 240 grain JHP that the guy at the gun store said were”loaded to the max and will work great for a desert eagle” eeeeeeeeh WRONG! they were even worse. they were very weak and could not even kick the slide back hard enough to eject or load the next bullet . they literally made the gun feel like it was shooting a .22 shell. does any one know of some good ” hot” 44 magnum bullets that will cycle this gun correctly and not hit you in the face with filler?

J, I load the Speer 240 JHP with 21.4 grains of H110 for a nice complete burn and decent action on most of my 44 rounds either in the DE or in a revolver. One other load I use for my old model DE and a Ruger M44 carbine is 240gr JHP using 22.5 grains of Herco 2400. This one leaves just a little residue in the DE but works great in the carbine so I don’t have to carry more than one type of load.
I’ve had that “speckling” effect when shooting factory loads from several different types of ammo, by reloading I can get complete burns on my powder load, tune my cartridges to the firearm I’m using. And when I need a “heavy” hitter I can load for it, nothing works better on Russian boar then a 325gr slug of lead from a redhawk.
