Will SAS backplane upgrade break my RAID volume?

I have a 4 disk SAS backplane in a Dell PowerEdge 2950 III. I need more bays for more hard drives. I have obtained a new 6 disk SAS backplane from Dell that is compatible with my system and my controller card. My question is will the RAID volume in it’s current state still remain in tact if I just swap out the 4x backplane for the 6x backplane and make sure to keep the current disks in the correct places and the controller card untouched?

Nah, Man im sure its fine. I have the same Comp. and it will effect the volume to a higher quality. i dont know if it will work as well though. its worth a try bud.
