Lee Loader

.308 lee loader problem?
the priming chamber/bullet seater is stuck in the body i cant get it out
also if i do get it out i’ve never re-loaded i cant figure out how to measure the powder its just one size measure how do i do all the different powder charges?
i pretty much know nothing about it i did read the instructions though
well I dug one out of the cabinet & looked it over and I’m still not quite sure what your problem is.
the die body is drilled all the way through, so if the bullet seater shaft has been in the die so long that its rusted in the die you should still be able to stick a brass or aluminum rod in the other end & drive it out.
you can probably use the primer seating rod to drive it out as long as you don’t hit it too hard. just try sticking the rod in the opposite end & tap it a few times.
the kit instructions should list 5 or 6 different powders that are safe with the one dipper that comes with the kit.
put your selected powder in a small cup or container, scoop up a dipper full, then scrape the powder off level with a card.
if you want to vary the charge or use a powder that’s not listed on the instructions you need to get a set of various sized dippers like this.

it comes with a sliding chart that shows which dipper to use with different powders to get the grain weight you want.
its very important to get a loading manual before you do any experimenting.
if you take your time & think a while before you actually do anything things will go a lot better & you will eventually have an expensive new hobby & a whole room full of equipment & components.
