Leupold Gold
What spotting scope is right for me?
I go on a hunting trip out west every year ( open country). I want to buy a spotting scope for hunting trips out west and for hunting in michigan (open and closed country). I dont want to spend an arm and a leg but I willing to spend $500 to $600. I was looking between the leupold gold ring 15-30×50 the nikon prostaff 16-48×65 and the nikon spotter XL2 16-48×60. I am open to all different spotting scopes. What do you hunters and bird watchers think? What do you use?
You’ve got 3 scopes in mind. Try all 3. Which ever one gives you the best FOV and clarity is the one to purchase. IMO.
Note I’d purchase the Nikon brand over the in house brand any day of the week!
