Is the leupold vari-x 2c suitable for sniper rifle?

I just purchased a remington 700 sps for target shooting and possibly deer hunting. I may have overpaid for this scope at 330 bucks. I does have turrets and no gold ring (tactical). I will prob do 400-700 yard target engagements. I have read a lot of great reviews about the super sniper 10x scope. All opinions welcome

Leupold is the absolute best telescopic sight on the market.

I had a friend that was a scout sniper for the 82nd Airborne during the first Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). He explained that all they used was Leupolds on their sniper rifles.

The idea of dedicated “tactical sniper” scopes is something relatively new – say in the past 20 years. Before that, law enforcement agencies and even the military just used commercially available “hunting scopes” for their sniper rifles.

You just can’t go wrong with the VX-IIc or the VX-III lines of scopes.
