Lifetime Warranty

Will the lifetime warranty on my brake pads be honored if…?
I’m about to go to a different auto repair shop than the one I usually visit. My brake pads have a lifetime warranty, and I need a new set. If I go to a different auto repair shop than the one where I bought my pads, will the warranty still be honored? In other words, is there a way the new shop can verify that I have a warranty?
Thanks.
read the back of your receipt.. it should say..
generally speaking…
no it will not be honored..
why?
easy because they dont know what the other guy did to the work they did…
lets say you let… Midas / Meineke to the original work… then a month later you had a problem and stopped at… the worst company on the planet.. ( just brakes) and they “:fixed” the problem and charged you.. and additional dollar amount… then you had a problem and went back to midas or meineke the looked at your brakes and found that (just brakes) did the work wrong and they destroyed your rotors…
why is that Meineke’s / Midas fault…
it isnt.. and they will end your warranty or they will fix the problem and you will have to pay for it all over again as if you never had the work done..
think of it this way….
if you did work for someone and promised them a “warranty” of some kind if anything went wrong…
would you honor your warranty if they had someone else repair your work.. what if the other guy lied about it… what if he over charged… what if he told your customer that your work sucked and you robbed him…
play it safe return the the original company or call them and get it in writting that you can go some place else
