Lyman Shell

Question about reloading and Reloaders?
What brands are better than others when it comes to reloading(Lee,Lyman, Dillon, etc).Like what ones are made stronger etc or things to look out for..Also if i am reloading for rifle calibers like 300 win mag and 30-06 is it better to have a single stage instead of a turret press?Would it be better to have a turret press for handguns and single stage for rifles?
Also for reloading shotgun shells is the Lee Load ALL good enough. I mainly want to reload for slugs. I doubt il mess with loading bird shot but never know.
thanks
As far as presses go, you’re going to be looking for something that is strong. Sizing some of the larger magnum cartridges will require some amount of force, and you’re going to be looking for a press that won’t spring and flex every time you run your case into the die. I’m using a CH444 press. The RCBS Rockchucker is a good one, I’ve heard some good things about the Hornady Lock and Load, and the Lee Classic Cast looks interesting to me.
Personally, I think that you’re going to do better with a single stage type press. Idk, though…if you plan on reloading hundreds of pistol cartridges at a time, you may want to look at getting one of the Dillon machines.
As far as reloading shotgun shell goes…..I’ve heard both good and bad things about the Lee Loadmaster. Having never used one, I can’t say for sure. It seems that that usual complaint is that they are made of cheap materials and difficult to keep in adjustment. RCBS, Hornady, and MEC all make decent shotshell presses.
