3 FAVORITES:

MAYA:
Well, this is the traditional Hebrew spelling of the name, and can also be derived from the Mayan Tribes, and they pronounce it “MY-UH” so I wouldn’t worry about the pronunciation. When anyone asked me what my top considerations for my daughter and I would show them this name, they always pronounced it “MY-UH”.
Anyways, I adore this name, it is underused, feminine, pretty and exotic while still being short and sweet. It was in my top three considerations for this bump!
It is sweet and traditional and what some people would call, or at least I would call being “unique” as it is not really common and sort of a nice exotic name.
It’s a favorite of mine.

(JO)HANNAH:
LOVE this, well more, I adore this, it was also in the top three considerations for bump, and it was going to be after my little sister, Anna, but I figured it was too close, and decided against it. It is lovely and tradtional, and while still being a bit popular, it falls off most peoples list.
Johannah is absolutely lovely though, and the nickname possibilities are endless; Jo, Hannah, Anna, Annie, Joan, Joanie…
It is darling and sweet and still feminine and classy, it’s a great choice.

FELICITY:
I love this, I just absolutely adore this and it was on my list for quite a while until my Jewish MIL saw the name on my list and just immediately crossed it out (and I mean not just a line, but line, after line until no writing could be seen, HAHA, she blamed it on the fact that she knew an AWFUL old woman at her bridge club named Felicia, yeah, right!). But anyways, back to the name, it’s really gorgeous and if you love Felice or Felicia, they would be awesome nicknames for Felicity, and it’s basically one of the only virtue names I love.

–Other ones I adore, and were BIG potentials for my top three were;
Leah (on my own list), Georgia, GRACE & Lilia.

3 LEAST FAVORITE:

SANDRA:
Too nickname-y for me. The first flaw (after butchered spellings, wrong genders and just ugly) I see in names is whether they are too nickname-y for me. Sandra seems like an old nickname for something like Cassandra, or Alessandra, and even as a full name, I hate the nickname Sandy, because well, this one is just ugly, so yes, I just dislike.
But Sandra Bullock has changed my opinion on the name, just a bit, which is why I tolerate it more.

GWENDOLYN:
Firstly, just a bad association as my eldest sister-in-laws’ lake cabin, there is a dog that lives there, and her name is Gwendolyn, and well it’s like a dog name to me but the dog also just made a lot of noise in general.
It also makes me think of Gwendolyn in Oscar Wilde’s the Importance of Being Earnest :P
But other than that, I can’t find a nickname I particularly like (Gwen, Dolly, Lyn, Wendy aren’t appealing to me) and it’s not really my taste in names.

DARCY:
Very masculine to me, other than that, it would be fine, but it’s very manly and masculine because of the surname in Pride and Prejudice.

–Other ones I could do withOUT;
Magdalene, Marcella AND Freya.

But it was hard to choose because this list is really nice.
