Magnum Carbide
Where can I find good and inexpensive 158 gain 357 mag bullets for reloading?
I am a rookie here:
speer reloading manual
lee carbide dies
lee press
blue dot powder
magnum primers
what advice can you give me on this new project of mine? and whats the best place for bulk bullets?
Advice? Did you say, ‘Advice’! OK (But I doubt you’ll like what you hear.)
1. Be sure to get Speer’s #14 reloading manual.
2. Use RCBS and not Lee carbide dies. (It’s called, ‘die run out’; and, yes, it really exists.)
3. If you’re smart enough to purchase a Speer manual, why aren’t you, also, smart enough to use RCBS or better reloading equipment?
4. Blue Dot is one ripp ‘in hot magnum powder. Do you really need to smash your way through paper targets like that?
5. Magnum primers? Well, yeah, if you’re using Blue Dot then I guess you would need magnum primers; but, what are you getting ready for – graveyard zombies?
6. 158 grain 357 bullets? You’re looking for swagged lead, not jacketed, right! (Or, are we going to war on this one too?)
Here’s one of the best reloading suppliers in the United States. He’s an honest man with a list of devoted regular customers:
