Nikon Coyote Special Scope Review

When you start stalking in the wild, you know that you are going to need all of the outdoor equipment that you can find. Buying a good quality gun that can endure a beating along with a compatible scope that willstrengthen your target tracking in spite of the weather and terrain will benefit you greatly. But when you are doing something more dangerous like hunting predators, you will desire a specific riflescope that provides range, speed, and a good field of view. Gary Robertson is a hunting expert and he is sharing his knowlegde with Nikon to come up with a solid solution in keeping the hunters at the pinicle of their skills. These unique scopes are known as the Nikon Coyote Special scope.

Featured Technologies

Just by looking at the Nikon Coyote scopes themselves, you can see just how unique these scopes are compared to the other scopes available from Nikon and the competition. The Max 1 and Mossy Oak designs really give a touch of wildlife and can prove to be a great camouflage tool when accompanied with a matching rifle. To tell more about options, a black matte version is included in addition to the camo just in case the special specs are required on a black rifle.

The Nikon lenses are multicoated to yield up to 92 % of light transmission resulting to maximum brightness independent of what time of day it is. The Anti Reflective Device (ARD) Technology also eliminates game spooking glare. Predator hunters need to be stealthy for safety and that can lead them to some less than desirable shooting positions. The Nikon Coyote Special Scopes offer generous eye relief for easy sighting despite the difficult shooting position.

Aside from the unique design, the biggest feature of the Coyote models is the BDC Predator Hunting Reticle. there currently is a patent pending in the BDC reticle, a unique open design that allows you to track the coyote, even when moving. >From the scope’s name, this reticle helps a lot in shooting running coyote.

Models Available

There are six available models in the Coyote Special series, but are divided into two main groups. Each group represents the three types of the scope as mentioned before and they all contain the same specifications so you basically only have two models to choose from with three different styles.

The most noticeable difference between the two groups is their actual magnification which are 3x-9x and 4.5x-14x respectively. The 3x-9x scope also has a 13.3-4.4mm exit pupil while the 4.5-14x model measures 8.9-2.9mm. The field of view at 100 yards also shows different values between the two with the 3x-9x model measuring 35.7-11.ft. but the other measures nineteen.9-6.8ft. Finally, the max internal adjustment for the 3-9×40 model is 80 MOA while the other is 30 MOA less than the former. All models have the same 40mm effective objective diameter.

The use of these predator hunting scopes is great news for hunters because they no longer need to purchase the more popular Monarch scopes which are generally more expensive. These Monarch scopes have the advantage of being more versatile, but the Nikon Coyote Special Scopes are built with the same Nikon quality and does its intended job far more efficiently.
