Has anyone ever used these hunting scopes?
Nikon Monarch 5-20x44SF
Nikon Buckmasters 6-18×40 SF
I would like to know if anyone has used ether of these scopes.
Which do you prefer?
Did you like them?
How much did you pay for the scope?
Does the BDC (Bullet Drop Compensating) Reticle really work?
I will be using the scope on a savage model 12 bvss in .223
I have a Nikon Buckmasters 4-12X50 on my Remington 700 VTR in .308…. It is decently accurate and has been an absolute pleasure to own…. I cant say I have used those exact models you have looked at but they are similar….

I got the one with the 50MM reticle because I wanted a wider field of view…… Taller scope rings were needed to get it to fit on the rifle also…. I also have a Nikon 3-9x40MM and 2 of the Nikon 2-7x32MM for my Ruger Mini 30 and CZ-527 rifles…. They also have been problem free and a pleasure to use….
Yes Leupold’s and other high quality brands are out there but they cost a lot more…. The Nikon’s are an excellent value in my opinion….
