Will a 1995-1999 CR500 engine mount up in a CR250 Aluminum frame without any major modifications to the frame?

nope, you would need to do several major tweaks to a CR250 frame to shoehorn in a CR500. Service Honda used to produce exactly what you are talking about but they have since switched over to the newer CRF450 frame to install the CR500 engine… it too requires major mods for this arrangement.

you would need to do some cuts and some TIG welding mods to mount along with adding some rigidity members for stress relief due to the additional horsepower & torque.

what a beast of a bike though!!! I have had the opportunity to ride a Service Honda CR500 on a few occasions … unbelievable!
