Mount Winchester

what would be the best scope to mount to a Remington 700 VTR chamber in .308 Winchester ?
Just bought a new hunting rifle for myself and was wondering what would be the best scope to mount to it, Red field is no longer in business so I was thinking a Leupold II Mark 2 3-9x40mm T2. Just trying to see what other people thought.
Remington 700 VTR? — Very nice choice…. The Leupold would be an excellent choice…. Be aware your VTR does have capabilities that are beyond the Leupold 3-9X40MM scopes range…Doesn’t mean the Leupold is the wrong choice –actually it would be fine for closer range target shooting and hunting larger animals like deer, hogs, etc…… For varmint hunting or long range target shooting a more powerful scope should be considered……..

Take a look at Leupold’s other offerings also…..

Leupolds are very fine rifle scopes….. If your budget is tight surely look over what Nikon has…. I use Nikon’s and they have been a pleasure to use…. Yeah – Leupold’s are a little better but Nikon’s aren’t bad for the money…..
