When wearing a Cub Scout Uniform do you salute when the National Anthem is played?

I know they do when they say the Pledge of Allegiance but we were at a Scout Night at a local sporting event and I wasn’t sure because half were taking their hats off and placing their hand over their heart.

Indeed you do. According the Boy Scouts Manual it provides specific instructions that say “when in uniform always stand at attention and salute the flag if their heads are covered, both indoors and outdoors.
