Night Vision……..?

I have a Samsung SDHC digital camcorder. This model is great, it films awesome video and has good audio. There is only one thing wrong: it lacks night vision. Is there a way I could rig this thing up to a makeshift night vision? I am willing to build or buy any components to do this.

all of the tricks for so-called night vision are just sales gimmicks. they up the electrical gain which adds a lot of noise to the picture, they increase the effective shutter time to 1/15th sec or longer causing the picture to blur, you can’t hand hold a camera with that slow a shutter and not blur, they remove the IR blocking filter allowing you to use IR lights to illuminated the scene, which gives either false color or no color in the picture. it is really ugly.

instead of using IR lights, whats wrong with using normal lights? that way you get clear, sharp, grain-free, full color saturated pictures. imho, one 50 watt light performs better than all the night vision options and works with any brand camera.
