Pocket Scope

Anyone know what this problem is?
My very elderly relative is in hospital just now and he had everyone sympton of advanced Cancer of the Oesophagus so we were prepared for the worst. However, he’s had a ‘scope and the blockage was a large pocket of food which they removed. They said the camera showed absolutely no other problem, tumor etc. there. He was to start eating today and probably get home tomorrow. However, he still cannot keep anything down and they are going to do more tests.
He may still have a blockage further down his digestive tract. This can often be surgically removed but it depends what the cause of the blockage is (it can be adhesions, something swallowed, cancerous (malignant or benign), a herniation of the bowel into another body cavity or a twisted bowel. The colour of the vomit can be a clue as to where in the bowel the blockage might be. Your relative is in the very best place to get a diagnosis and treatment. Blood tests will rule out some of the above, as will a thorough physical examination. All the best.
