I was arguing with a police officer and he hit me in the face with his flashlight should he be liable?

There was a fight and me and two other guys were seperating the fighters and calming people down. When the police showed up they focused in on me and told me to leave and I told them no because I didnt have anything to do with the fight. Thats when we started argueing.

Did the arguing consist of you pushing the cop, or reisisting when he started to guide you to leave?

His liability will partly depend on your actions, and what you were arrested for, disorderly conduct ?

… also, what are your injuries if any?

BTW, when there’s a fight, riot, etc and youre told to leave, strongly consider it. They are there to restore order, and if you get in the way, well …. youre in the way!
