Police Xenon

Got a police ticket for improper use of auxilary lights?
I have a volkswagen cc
I have orange lights for signal on my mirror
then orange lights for signal on the bumper which are stock
I put an aftermarket led strip on that has xenon white always on lights, and then they flash orange when im signaling.
He also said my lights are blue, but they are Xenon white, ya they might be slightly blue but still its mainly white
I cuold have got blue leds if i wanted blue
the cop told me when i signal im only allowed 2 lights to blink
is this correct based on the TEXAS handbook?
What should i do about this ticket, should I take the leds off and tell them and only pay like 20$?
What if i take them off, and then put them back on?
This was at 2AM so im sure the cop just wanted to pull me over for no reason
Gam3,
He stopped you because you have really bright blue headlights that you did not aim in. The rest was just examining the vehicle close up.
State law states no more that 4 lights illuminated on the front of the vehicle. So headlights and driving lights, or headlights and aux lights, or headlights and fog lights. Sec. 547.302
Orange is not a legal color for the front turn signals. Sec. 547.342
The Xenon and HID lights are becoming a MAJOR hazard on the road because people just stick them in and then do not aim them correctly. Sec. 547.305 See aiming requirements under each light described in other sections.
I love stopping people for un-aimed extra bright headlights, fog lights, blue or pink lights.
my homemade police lights, and xenon strobes.
