Prostaff Series
Will this scope hold zero on my muzzleloader?
I loaded a 350gr .50cal hornady bullet with 150 grs 777. The recoil is the most I’ve ever handled. Three shots is my max. The recoil destroyed the zero of the T/C’s cheaper Nikon Prostaff scope. I could tell because L/R adjustment held while U/D traveled up with each shot.
I want to retire the Prostaff to my .22 and mount a Bushnell Trophy series scope onto the .50 cal T/C. The scope is 3-9x with a 42? mm AO front lense. This scope has been on the .22 up to now.
Do you think the Bushnell Tropy will hold zero with this 150gr/ 350gr load? Thanks.
Thank you for your input thus far. Please note that three 50gr 777 pellets are being used in this load. Not loaded by weight or volume by shooter. Possible loads are therefore 50/100/150. Thank you.

Yes, you shouldnt have any problems with that scope. I have even used low end scopes like Tasco on ML’ers with no issues. You are using a Mag powder charge but the Bushnell Trophy should stay dialed to zero with no issues….
