I have had a recent experience with Carbon Monoxide Poisoning entering the the Cab of my 1998…?

While driving to work an hour each day; I was overcome with sleepiness evertime I drove to work and home. I was all over the road and it was a wonder I wasn’t killed or killed someone else. My doctors and four Mechanic shops did not believe me and found no problem with my Truck. After two months of trying to figure out how I was going to obtain the truth. I purchased a Digital Carbom Monoxide Detector which would read any CO amount present. My forst time in using it to drive to work it showed 18 ppm of CO and 15 ppm of CO during the drive home. I went to the doctor and ordered a blood gas test which revealed a high level of carbon monoxide in my blood. Anyone have any suggestions on finding and correcting this exhaust leak.

Damn. OK Start with the Ford Dealership… Show them the medical test results, nothing scares a company like the perceived threat of a lawsuit… And you have documentation to back up your story… See the service manager…See if there have been any other complaints or safety recalls… GO also to
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/ and see if your vehicle is on a list.
If this fails,,,
To correct the problem yourself, I would go to a shop that specializes in muffler repair / replacement. This could also be a leak from the exhaust manifold under the hood and would not be a part of the exhaust pipe system in and of itself…
Be careful, Dec. 15th, 1966 my friend Mike Northcutt and another friends sister Bonnie Combs was found dead at the Roosevelt Drive-In, from exhaust fumes. This was my 15th birthday, Mike waved to me as he was driving by on his way to pick up Bonnie. And I drive a 2001 Ranger.
