to switch from left to right?

where could i get my springfield xd 9mm tactical’s slide release put onto the other side, im left handed. and how much do u thnk it would cost?

Actually, there are two ways to handle this and it will not cost you a cent.

Since it is highly recommended you keep your finger off the trigger at all times other than when you want to fire, use your left index finger to work the slide release. That way you will have no possible way of pulling the trigger by accident. This does work better on guns like the Walther P5 where the slide release is further down towards the barrel, but it does work.

However, an even better way is to count your rounds. Lets say you got one in the chamber and 12 in the magazine. Shoot 12, then switch the magazines. Since the slide never locked back, you will not have to mess with the slide release. You can just start shooting again, counting to 12 again and switching again. This in many ways is the best way as the other guy never sees you with an empty gun.
