Reloading Set

How much does it cost to get set up in reloading 9mm?
I shoot 9mm on a regular basis. I was thinking about getting into reloading. How much would reloading equipment cost (just for 9mm)? Would it be possible for me to get a good deal on used reloading equipment?
If you have a bench and work area already set up, that is a good start. If so, you are probably looking realistically at $800 to $1,000. You may be able to go a little cheaper with a single stage inexpensive press, etc — but this would be temporary if you are planning to really shoot a lot. The 9mm will likely require a more expensive ( higher output) progressive set-up — likely Dillon. I just went through the same thing, but intent on reloading .300 Magnums, so I was able to go single stage. I had to buy the Bench and a little more, so ….
I was trying to stay under $800, then tried to stay under $1,000 — and I wanted to somehow forget about having to pay $500 for a nice bench as well. Well, I am still just trying to forget — and convince myself it was worth it — and I am sure it is, but I went way over my initial budget.
The problem is — you walk in looking for the reloading press, and then this other little toy looks nice, and impulse takes over — and …. you know the story
I’ll be OK — Factory ammo for my .300 RUM, and .300 Weatherby costs $70 to $90/ box — so mine has to pay back sometime. The 9mm is relatively inexpensive vs 454 Casull or .300 Magnums.
It also worked out for me, because in California — Bozo Arnold signed some looney Bill that forces us to show ID, or thumbprint, or some other Communist criteria to buy ammo as of Jan 1st. So because I reload now, I don’t have to give my info to the Politbureau to get ammo. So my freedom from the Socialists has some value in this reloading equipment as well.
