Did the Viet Cong and the Taliban use the Chinese SKS Assault rifle?

I know they both use the AK-47 and AK-74, but did/do they use the SKS? i would think so, because it is a pretty cheap gun, pretty reliable, and is an assault rifle, it is close caliber to the AK, almost identical (though the SKS doesnt have a pistol grip, different sights, and just a few slight differences in design) but did they use it? are they still manufactured?

The SKS, its Chinese clone, the AK-47 and AKM all fire the same 7.62×39 ammunition. The SKS was most definately used in Vietnam but I have never seen any evidence of it or its Chinese cousin in A-stan. Doesn’t mean there are not a few floating around but that rifle has been out of production for decades for military customers. Only gullible American civilians buy them now.
