Is it okay to leave a rifle/pistol magazine loaded without wakening the spring?

Will it inhibit the ability for the magazine to load the ammunition in the chamber? This is a new Pro Mag magazine. Not an old military magazine.

My Colt .45 Combat Commander would get jammed because of keeping the clip full of 7 shots, drove me nuts. You’re answer is a definate YES.
