Is the bushnell banner 6-18×50 riflescope a good quality scope?

I am looking for a $100-$150 scope for my Remington 700 sps varmint in a .223, I will probibly be shooting 1-400 yards. Any suggestions for a scope would be great.

no, the banner is the economy line of bushnell. Elite is the good line, and even that is less good than the lowest line of Leupold or Nikon.

Really high magnification scopes seem to suffer even more from mediocre craftmanship than lower powered fixed scopes.

It sounds like you are way overscoping your gun anyways.
