Scope See

I recently bought a Daisy Air Rifle Scope 4×15 and when I look through the scope I see a black ring.?

It take up most of the sight when I look through it I just bough it and I haven’t dropped or anything. Any help would be appreciated…. 10 points!!!

You don’t have proper eye relief –the distance between were your eye sits and the lens need to be about 3-4 inches apart–even on air rifles. You will have to adjust the scope position or adjust how you are looking through it. Most of the time you can close your eyes,shoulder the rifle and then open your eyes to see where your natural shooting position is going to be–then you adjust the scope position to not have so much “black ring”—there are a lot of technical terms for it,but eye relief is the common usage and you just have to play with it a little. That means you loosen the rings and slide the scope forward or back, not just mess with the focus,then re-tighten to specs
