Whats the Side Focus on a rifle scope?
Nikon Monarch comes with a side focus and im looking into the Nikon Monarch 3-12X, 42mm with BDC reticle and side focus. Im not sure what side focus is?
It is a parallax adjustment. If you are shooting really long you have to set it at the appropriate yardage to see the full picture, adjusting out the parallax. I find this to be very unnecessary on a deer rifle. I also feel the same about the BDC. However, the scope you are looking at is very very good.
