Sight Picatinny

I want a good semi-automatic .223?

I would already have a sig 556 (.223) and sig 522(.22lr) so i don’t want anything like an m4 that’s similar, but i really enjoy shooting them with my friends. i would prefer something that doesn’t represent an m4 in any way. It needs to have a picatinny rail for sights. I have an EOtech i would like to put on it, but if you know any good dot scopes that would go with it let me know. thanks.

The FS2000 is an excellent choice if you have the money. It is THE most comfortable rifle I have ever shouldered and the recoil is all straight-back, there is almost no muzzle rise whatsoever and it has the quickest return-to-zero I’ve ever experienced. It’s an all-around great gun that points quickly and functions smoothly, you won’t be disappointed.

They go for a little under $2000 most places and you can get them in two versions, both priced the same: the Standard model which has a removable optic (with a low-profile plastic rail underneath) and the Tactical model which comes with a higher steel rail and no optic. If you choose to replace the optic on the Standard model you’ll probably need a rise because as I said, the rail is placed lower.

Edit: the Steyr AUG and American MSAR (AUG clone) are also good choices, the only downside is that the trigger on them is typically crap (common on most bullpups although the FS2000 seems to have this fixed). Pretty sure they go for around the same price and come in a number of configurations.
