Whats the advantage of a stainless steel rifle?

Ive just got my fire arms license and im looking to buy my first rifle just wanted abit of info on the advantages of different rifles, also is it better to buy new?

Stainless steel resists rust much better than carbon (blued) steel. That’s the only advantage to stainless.

New or used? That depends. Some models can be a very good deal, used. Other models won’t bring enough of a discount to make it worthwhile to buy used. Still, on average buying used will net you more value for your $. Just make sure to buy a rifle that hasn’t been abused or used up by the previous owner, and if the shop will give you a trial period on a used firearm it is a huge bonus.
