Why won’t my mosin stripper clips work?! Any tips?

I’m about to buy 800 rounds of ammo, and it reminded me to ask about my stripper clips. I have 5 brand new stripper clips( well, a month old now), and they don’t work. They’re the ones with the little flapy things on them, you know what I mean? Well, I’ve tried just putting them into place, then pushing down, but it doesn’t work. Then I tried lifting up on the top round, to keep it parralel with the gun, and then pushing down. That didn’t work. But I’ve seen other people get them to work, same stripper clips! Here’s a link.

Maybe wrong type of clips, maybe wrong caliber, but most likely you are doing something wrong. No offense meant. Take it in too a local gun shop and have the dude behind the counter help you. Hell, it may be that you got a lemon batch.
