HELP! Monster Hunter Tri is kicking me in the pants…HARD.?
hey, i’ve just gotten too the 5 star quests in offline mode. and i cant f..u.c..kin’ kill the barioth… OR THE GIGINOX!!!! and i’m afraid i wont be able to finish the game without haveing to start all over into the online mode.. so i’m hoping some of you monster hunter pros can help me out….
i got all ludroth armor. all up too level 5 and 4. i have a switch ax (rough edge)
do i need to get different armor?? and upgrade my weapon err something??
any tactical advice would be greatly appreciated..
Barioth is weak to fire, so if you can get an axe that does fire damage, use it.
Aside from Barioth’s frost tornado attack, I’m pretty sure all of their damage is physical element, so Base Defense is mostly what matters.
Both of them are a dramatic change of style from what you’ve fought before. Both have rather quick strikes that cover a lot of range, which makes them far more dangerous in Rage Mode than previous bosses. As always, the priority should be on avoiding getting hit, only doing 1-2 attacks at a time before concentrating on dodging the next attack coming at you. Always run with your weapon put away, and don’t attack them face to face. With Gigginox, light the torches when it is in a cave. With Barioth, try to cut off the tail first. Use Cha Cha as a distraction. Both of them prefer to keep you at a distance so they can lunge at you, so always try to stick close.
Always bring 10 Potions, 10 MegaPotions, 10 Well-done Steaks, 10 Whetstones, 5 Hot/Cold Drinks. Also bring 10 Herbs, 10 Blue Mushrooms, and 10 Honeys, to mix into (hopefully) 10 more Megapotions. If the Mission is to “Hunt” the creature, capture is allowed (which allows you to avoid having to take off the last 15% or so of their health), but you have to bring your own traps and tranq bombs.
