Tasco Pronghorn
Should I get a Tasco 3-9x50mm scope? (re-post)?
I ‘m re-posting this because I need to include more details.
I’m hunting at 150-400 yards.
The scope I’m talking about is a Tasco 30/30 reticle PH3950D Pronghorn scope
I’m shooting with a .270 Winchester
My reason for this question is if I should keep the scope on my 111 Savage. Since some of you guys mentioned the Simmons scope in this and the last post, the Savage comes with a Variable package Simmons 3-9x40mm scope. Should I just keep it then? But remeber how far I will be shooting.
Hey, didn’t one of you guys mention a Bushnell Troghy, isn’t that a pistol scope.
I responded to your initial post as well. Based on the price range of this scope I would save up and get a Bushnell Trophy it would serve you much better in the long run. I don’t think that this scope will be of sufficient quality for a .270 rifle and you will end up replacing it and it will cost you more in the long-run (remounting, re-zeroing with more ammo, new base, rings, just the hassle in general). Try to hold out for something that will better serve your needs, these (Tasco scopes) are essentially disposable scopes unless used on .22 rifles. Good luck!
