Will my gun shoot differently? using .223 switching to 5.56?

I have a AR-15 with a EO-tech holographic sight. I sighted it in with .223 55 grain bullets. Im switching to 5.56×45 55 grain bullets will the gun need to be sighted in again or will it still be on?
I mean like I know i can still aim but.. Im talking about will the trajectory of the bullet change? Point of impact. Thank you though. I guess I will have to test it. I have 300 rounds to play around with lol.

A lot of it will have to do with the ammo and the distance you are shooting.

I’d say you’d notice more a difference if you for example zero’d with Wolf .223 at 50 yards and then switched to Federal XM193 5.56MM shooting at over 200 yards.

If your shooting under 100 yards your groups shouldn’t be any bigger than what you can cover with your hand with either type though. That’s not match accuarate but combat accurate. Your mileage may vary.

Cheap ammo isn’t as consistently made so it has poorer accuracy than better made ammo. If you used decent .223 to zero and are going to decent 5.56 you prob won’t notice much difference.

FYI I zero all my AR’s with Fed XM193 5.56 55 grain, but I’ll shoot almost any ammo except Wolf or the other steel cased stuff.
