Making A Topnotch Athletic Field With Excellent Bleachers

The crack of a bat, the roar of the crowd, the “whoosh” of the soccer ball, the “swish” of the basketball…these are all sounds that will bring a smile to any sports fan’s face (whether it’s little league, high school, college or professional).

Imagine, however, that you listen to these sounds while standing up (or worse yet, sitting on the scratchy grass!). Regardless of which sport you enjoy the most, no game takes less than an hour – and not a single person wants to stand, or sit on grass, for an hour or more!

Having quality bleacher is essential to creating a top notch athletic field, and ensuring more people attend your games (with their pockets full of entrance fee and snack money!). The decision of which bleachers to purchase seems intimidating, but it doesn’t need to be.

Once upon a time, bleachers used to be made of wooden boards which, being left exposed and open to the elements were washed-out by the sun – thus the name, which has been in use since the early 1900′s.

Most current bleachers are now built from aluminum or steel, and many can be modified with colored seating for genuine team spirit. Depending on your needs, there are different sorts to choose from. As Aluminum Tip n’ Roll bleachers are simply tipped onto their swivel casters for movement, permitting them to be stored rapidly and effortlessly, they are idyllic for transitory seating specially for indoor seating, or small spaces. Rubber foot pads are also included, making sure floors are secured from scractching.

Non-elevated bleachers sit lower from the ground for added safety, and are smaller in size, making them perfect for smaller athletic fields. Available with 3, 4 or 5 rows, these bleachers are still large enough to seat up to 80 sports fans! Transportable non-elevated models are also a great option – with the addition of the transport kit, these 5 or 10 row bleachers can be moved easily across grass, and can seat up to 160 people.

For football or soccer fields, where larger seating is needed, elevated bleacher are the ideal solution. Other than a number of elevation heights, these seating systems consist of guardrails, aisles with handrails, entry stairs, and aluminum seat, foot and riser planks. They are constructed to contain up to 500 persons (or more!) depending on your needs.

It is always possible to custom design and manufacture different sizes and configurations to fit seating requirements and site restrictions. When ordering bleachers, it is important to check local requirements for such things as aisles, guardrails, ADA, or other conditions. Before getting any bleachers, confirm building codes, because building codes vary by year written and by issuing group.
